June 2023 Update - Livestream - Illustrations

Hello everyone!

Yesterday evening I did a livestream in which I talked some about the progress on Monstrous Heroes, as well as responded to various comments and questions in the live chat. So I figured I'd put the link to the stream video here too:

Things overall are going well. Progress during May slowed down due to my daughter being born, plus a ton of family commitments and birthdays, plus I was sick and hurt my back. Quite a hectic month indeed. The pace is picking back up now, and I am working on Monstrous Heroes daily. 

Here is a collage of some recently completed illustrations for the book, with the weretiger by Miquieas Silva, recap by Marlies Draaisma, grim overlord ogre by Aleksandar Kostic, and silver dragon by Ashkan Ghanbari.

Update to the Preview PDF

Hello everyone,

I haven't been able to work as much this past week or so because my baby daughter was born 😁 She had to come a little early, and there were a couple minor complications, but she seems to be doing well and on the right track now. She is a hungry little piglet and super precious, and I love her to pieces. My wife is doing a phenomenal job taking great care of her, so a big cheer for mama!  Hopefully in the coming week or two, I will get back onto a more regular schedule again.

I just uploaded the new version of the Monstrous Heroes preview pdf. Aside from a bunch of little typo corrections and clarifications, there are significant revisions to a number of features (see the changes log).

The playtesting is going well and proving to be very helpful as always. Dragon and Lycanthrope are the biggest playtest focuses at the moment. Despite my reduced time to work, I've been able to write most of the brindlecap class, and I'm really liking how it's shaping up. Very much feeling the inspiration there.

End of April Update

Hey everyone, I just finished up my end-of-April newsletter, which includes a bit about the progress on Monstrous Heroes, so I figured I'd drop it here too.

Things are going well, and I've recently started up a new playtest campaign. Dragon and lycanthrope are the main classes being playtested currently, and they are hitting their strides!

I'm also planning to update to the preview pdf soon. Nothing huge, but a bunch of little revisions.

May is going to be a big month for me personally. Lots of birthdays (including my wife's and son's) and my daughter is going to be born! But I'll keep working throughout and stay on the ball.
